If there’s one thing I could pass down to our readers, it is the importance of teamwork. The workforce recently, and in the future will demand employees who are able to work well in teams.

Whether its working on the Insider magazine, La Voz Weekly or the De Anza Associated Student Body Senate, this campus provides many outlets that emphasis the importance of teamwork.There’s no such thing as flying solo. I mean, you could, but how far can it get you? Having a team to support you, will take whatever project you are working on to new heights. This magazine is a product of a group of students who were dedicated to producing a publication for new and current students. And as their publisher, I couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work during the summer.

Starting this year, I recommend that our students take part in any activities that require teamwork whether its in the Auto Tech or Students for Justice Club. The hands on experience of working in teams, will allow you to ride smoothly once you get into the workforce. Its best to work out the glitches of teamwork (there’s always glitches) now then it would be in say, 10 years. Conflict resolution, problem solving, and leadership are just many of the things that will be in your way in the future. As they say, “all for one, and one for all.”
